The Australian Pipeline Industry Association Annual Convention is always a highlight of the year for pipeliners, and the conference is also gaining a reputation in the wider energy industry as a key event for
discussing the latest developments in Australian pipelining as well as networking with the vast range of suppliers, contractors, owners and operators who contribute to the industry in Australia.
In 2005, this was no different and over four days packed with technical presentations, exhibition drawcards and social functions members of the Australian pipeline community were provided with the opportunity to share their experiences over the past twelve months and learn of what other pipeliners have been up to - all while managing to have a fairly good time in the process!

Over the next few pages APIA Chief Executive Cheryl Cartwright provides a review of Convention 2005, covering all aspects of the conference. The Australian Pipeliner is, as always, proud to be involved with the APIA Convention and we hope that the next few pages begin to raise the interest and expectations of all pipeliners for this year’s Convention in Alice Springs.
