Young People’s Forum

The Young People’s Forum was held in May 2006, but the outcomes from the event live on, with YPF committees in each State and a national group planning for events to involve the young and the young-at-heart.

Young pipeliners take the stage in Brisbane

Peter Barnett (GHD) and I were presented with a fantastic opportunity to speak at the APIA dinner in Brisbane on 25 July. While we both struggled to finish our main meal on the night, due to nerves, we were pleased we accepted the opportunity and have benefited from the experience.

The Western Australian Young Pipeliners Forum enjoyed a night of drinks, food and fierce competition when they got together for barefoot lawn bowls at the Mt Lawley Bowls Club in December.

YPF gathers at Convention

On Tuesday 23 October the national Young Pipeliners Forum (YPF) committee met face-to-face during the 2007 APIA Convention. As the members of the national committee are based around Australia in various capital cities, YPF national committee meetings have always been held via teleconference, so it was the first time they were able to hold a meeting in person.
