The 44th Annual APIA Convention and Exhibition, this year to be held in vibrant Queensland, will be shaped by the theme The Pipeline Industry – Expertise; Growth; Opportunity, in order to highlight the importance of the skills in the transmission pipeline sector and the need to develop those skills into the next generation.
Over two days, the streamed business program will cover presentations on:
- Health, safety and environment;
- Education and training;
- Operational and construction issues;
- Opportunities for the industry in coal seam gas;
- Industry innovations; and,
- A host of technical and operational matters.
This year the Exhibition has reached full capacity, with 93 exhibitors booked into a record-breaking 121 stands.

The 2012 event’s social calendar includes the annual golf competition, a cruise along the Kookaburra River, numerous dinners and the renowned Fancy Dress Night, which this year is themed ‘The Greek Gods Go Crazy in BrizVegas’.
In addition, day programs for dedicated partners are planned to include a tour of the stunning Brisbane botanical gardens and the opportunity to visit the Queensland Art Gallery.
Social events give attendees the opportunity to connect with fellow industry professionals in a relaxed and fun environment and develop business connections that are sure to last well beyond the Convention.
