Vacuworx is a world leader in vacuum lifting for field applications with over 20 years of experience in vacuum lifting, beginning in Australia in the early eighties, known then as Vacuumlift Australia. Vacuworx meets or exceeds ANSI/ASME B30.20A – the ‘Below the Hook Lifting Devices’ standard – as well as the equivalent Australian standard AS4991 – ‘Lifting devices’. Today, Vacuworx International is operating in a new, state of the art, manufacturing facility in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Vacuworx has built its reputation by providing contractors around the world with safe and efficient solutions to material handling in the field. Safety has always been the primary focus at Vacuworx, and safety promotes greater efficiency for the contractor, yielding higher profits.
Vacuworx – a model of safety
The standard RC lifter models offered by Vacuworx range from 10 to 20 tonne capacity, however the company also manufactures custom models for applications greater than 20 tonnes or for specialty applications.

The standard models are powered by a single cylinder diesel engine but other power supplies such as gas or electric are available upon request. The RC models are most commonly attached to an excavator, however a wide range of carriers such as cranes, wheel loaders and fork lifts are supported as well.
Vacuworx manufactures a wide range of vacuum lifting pads that can be attached to any of the standard model lifters. They offer vacuum pads for a variety of pipe materials such as steel, concrete, and plastic. Applications of coated pipe are supported as well. Vacuum pads are also available for a variety of other applications such as steel plate and concrete slabs. As with the Vacuworx lifter, custom vacuum pad applications are also available.
Vacuworx uses a closed frequency wireless remote control system that allows the equipment operator the ability to manoeuvre the material being lifted with great precision and no additional personnel required. Not only can the contractor save by reducing the workforce, but in many cases, a reduced insurance rate can be obtained due to the lack of any ground personnel in harms way.
Simply put, by addressing the major concern of safety, Vacuworx affords the contractor the ability to reduce the workforce, lower the insurance cost, and actually speed up the process of material handling. In the end this equates to a safer work environment and increased profits.
Pipe integrity has always been a concern in the industry and in the past few years it has become a major focus for the federal regulatory organisations. The use of chains, slings and hooks can cause damage to pipe coatings, costing the contractor additional time and labour to repair the damage. The Vacuworx Lifting System eliminates the problem of damaged coatings. All of the Vacuworx lifting pads utilise a special seal material to protect the coating from any damage, while providing a secure and safe lift.
Vacuworx Lifting Systems offer both visual and audible low vacuum alarms. Should a low vacuum situation occur, the operator will not be able to lift until a safe level of vacuum can be achieved. All models are designed so that, should a loss of power occur, such as ‘out of fuel,’ the reserve vacuum tank allows the operator ample time to safely set down the material and the issue can be resolved before lifting again.
Vacuworx International delivers the confidence that a company’s workforce is protected, keeping them safe and readily available to those who depend on them. Vacuworx assists business to realise the performance, profitability, and corporate accountability required by today’s work environment.
