Proline manufactures hydraulic pipe bending machines, pipe bending mandrels, pneumatic internal line up clamps (copper back up available), air compressors, pipe end prep machines (facing machines), pipe stringing chutes, ditch pumps, lowering in (Rolli) cradles, and lowering in belts. Each piece of equipment has been designed by Proline with Proline customers in mind. However, for specific requirements, the company will custom build specific equipment to meet contractors’ needs.
The company also distributes vacuum lifts, road boring machines and augers, environmentally friendly PipeSak buoyancy control weights, Tuff N Nuff rockshield and pigs.
Proline is also an authorised distributor and service facility for Metrotech line locators and SPY holiday detectors, to mention just a few.
In a recent Canadian project, Proline was a key supplier of pipeline equipment for the Duke Energy ‘Grizzly’ Project, which crosses over northeastern British Columbia and northwestern Alberta. Duke Energy contracted Surerus Construction of British Columbia and Kendal Pipeline of Alberta to build the 16 in. diameter natural gas pipeline. Construction of approximately 105 km of pipeline occurred in some of the most extreme terrain and weather conditions known to pipeline professionals.

Proline also supplied specialised pipeline equipment – consisting of a 42 in. self contained hydraulic pipe bending mandrel, 42 in. pipe facing machine and power unit and 42 in. internal line-up clamps with copper back up systems – to Midwest General Contractors, who were constructing approximately 15 km of 42 in. natural gas pipeline in the Hussar, Alberta area for TransCanada Pipelines. The contractor had to deal with unpredictable Alberta spring weather from rain to sun to intermittent snow storms creating very muddy right of way conditions.
The Alliance Pipeline Project has recently utilised Proline equipment, for which Proline was one of the main suppliers. The project involved the construction of a 36 and 42 in. high pressure natural gas pipeline from Fort St. John, British Columbia, Canada to Chicago, Illinois, USA.
The pipe was welded using mechanised (automatic) welding in the USA and Canada. There were three Canadian contractors working on the Canadian portion, and all three Canadian contractors as well as one US company relied on Proline equipment and supplies.
Another project which has recently utilised Proline equipment was the Alliance Pipeline Project, for which Proline was one of the main suppliers.
