Drilling under the shoreline commenced yesterday and is expected to continue under 24 hour operations for 12 weeks.
On completion of the Devil Creek Development Project, gas extracted from the offshore Reindeer Gas Field will be transported via a 105 km pipeline to the onshore Devil Creek processing facility, processed and then fed into the Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.
The project will initially provide up to 100 MMcf/d of dry natural gas and 80 kl/d of gas condensate, however the facilities will be designed to process up to 200 MMcf/d of natural gas and 160 kl/d of condensate.
First gas is targeted for the end of 2011.
